Artistic Director – All In Productions
Reports To: Executive Director
Salary: Nominal annual stipend plus additional compensation dependent on season revenue.
Duties & Responsibilities
-Select artistic programming and develop an artistic and strategic vision that meets AIP’s mission and core values in collaboration with the Executive Director.
-Lead the artistic staff and production teams in setting high artistic standards and creating innovative theatre.
-Direct at least one of AIP’s mainstage productions per season, hiring guest directors as needed.
-Conduct season general auditions.
-Lead casting of all mainstage season productions; working in conjunction with guest directors as needed.
-Lead the hiring process of all artistic staff and production personnel.
-Provide input for business staff’s performance, hiring as necessary/requested.
-Oversee the artist outreach and development programs.
-Oversee the new work developmental program.
-Work with the Executive Director and Marketing Director to establish and execute marketing strategies to spread awareness of AIP’s programming and mission to the greater region.
-Foster strategic and collaborative artistic partnerships within the greater Milwaukee community.
-Serve as the public face of All In Productions to artists, patrons, and the community at large through media, social function, fundraising, and industry appearances.
-Provide assistance to the Board of Director and Executive Director as availability dictates with fundraising and marketing activities.
-Conduct evaluations of all artistic and production staff on an annual basis.
-Collaborate with the Executive Director to set and present an annual budget to the board.
